About Me
Upon applying to college, I knew immediately that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. My passions, however, truly lie within understanding culture and experiencing the world. From a young age I have traveled with my family for mission work, family trips, and personal reasons. I was blessed to have a childhood that exposed me to different cultures and people groups. This allowed me to see the world in all of its beauty and brokenness. It weighed on me to know that there are people around the world and in our nation, who do not receive the health care they deserve. There are people who are treated differently because of how they look or the language they speak.

At the end of the day I want to serve people. I hope to put my knowledge from this major to use. I was originally a biology major planning on heading to medical school, but I did not fall in love with that major. My entire life I have felt called to better this world and I truly believe that being within the Language and International Health major will help me do that. As I pursue my education through a physician’s assistant program, I will be able to use the language, cultural, and science skills from my education to propel me forward and better the health care system.
